Can Networking Equal Sustainability?

I left a networking event with a pocket full of business cards. Every time someone handed me a business card, I said to myself, “What the hell am I going to do with one more business card? Write notes on it? Stack it on my desk to be thrown away later? Add it to the Rolodex I don’t have…”

I’m not sure if anyone who gave me their card expects me to “use it.” Just add them on LinkedIn maybe? I’m sure they don’t use the cards they receive as very seldom do they connect with me post networking… surely there must be a smarter way to share, collect and put these connections to use! That’s where MODC is aiming to lighten the load with a tech enabled business card making sharing your details and capturing others a breeze.

When you realise that only 8% of paper business cards are saved into someone’s contacts list, now you can see how giving out hundreds and hundreds of them isn’t doing you much good 🤷‍♂️. Once you add up the cost, waste and general hassle of making sure you have enough business cards on you at anyone time, you’ll start to wonder why you didn’t make a change sooner.
